CONNECTICUT DEEP HAS DECLARED MAY 9TH AS FREE FISHING DAY FOR ALL WATERS TO EVERYONE WITHOUT HAVING TO OBTAIN A FISHING LICENSE.
In honor of Free Fishing Day, the Putnam Fish & Game Club is hosting a Family Fishing Derby and Fisherman’s Picnic from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Come and fish in our trout stocked pond and enjoy a picnic of grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, drink and chips.
$10.00 for Adults and $5.00 for children 12 and under, or $20 for family.
There will be trophy awards for the first 30 children registered and for the largest fish by weight and most fish caught.
Come and enjoy a great day of fishing and picnicking with your family and friends. Bring your fishing gear and have a great family day!
Cabela’s has graciously donated 30 children’s fishing rods for this event that will be given out to the first 30 children in attendance. We would like to thank the good folks at Cabela’s for their generous donation and partnering with us to make this such a great event. Be sure to tell them thanks when you visit their facility!
