During the period beginning 5/28/24 until further notice, all firearms ranges will be closed as follows.
Indoor rifle range – CLOSED – NOT Allowed for use for any reason and will be off limits to all members.
Indoor Pistol range – Open for use 6PM thru 6AM – (no hours during the day).
Outdoor Rifle Range – Open from 6PM until legal sunset. (no hours during the day).
We are not forecasting an end date yet, but these rules will remain in effect from 5/28/24 until further notice, estimated to be approximately 1 to 1-1/2 weeks.
Archery range will remain open during this time.
Please understand, this is the schedule in hopefully a carefully planned perfect world scenario. We all know things can change. Updates will be sent if things change and to provide status.
We have been talking about repairing the ceiling panel in the indoor rifle range for some time now.
We have work scheduled beginning on Tuesday 5/28/24 with the rubber roof being removed. Applied Roofing will be on site to remove the roof down to the existing concrete panel.
I am meeting with Dave Gratton on Tuesday evening to go over everything and discuss any concerns.
On Wednesday 5/29, Gratton Concrete will be on site thru (at various times) Friday to chip the grout from the existing seams, dig a hole to bury the old panel, and any other prep work that can be done to remove, including removing the existing panel.
VP Carrara is delivering the new replacement panels on Saturday, 6/1, hopefully around 8am. Dave Gratton asked if we could do it on a Saturday due to the heavy lift crane availability. By close of business Saturday, the new panels should be installed. They then have to be pinned and seams grouted, before the new rubber can be laid down.
Once we can get Applied roofing to come back and install new roofing on the affected area, which shouldn’t be an issue, we can re-open the ranges.
During this time there will be contractors on site that will have access to the club. Please be observant of their activity if you come to the club and they are there working.
This should go smoothly and we appreciate your cooperation.
Thanks
Mike Faucher
