Our club By-Laws dictate that all applicants must be a friend or relative of a current club member and that member needs to sponsor you for membership. So if you don’t think you know anyone in the club, ask around. We have 325 members and you might not realize you know someone.
Our club By-Laws also dictate that applicants must possess a current pistol permit to become a Putnam Fish & Game Club member.
We cannot make exceptions to either of these requirements!
- In an effort to streamline our application process, we are not accepting applications via snail mail.
- Our new preferred method of applying for membership is to fill out our downloadable membership application. (This is a fillable .pdf form. *See instructions below for best results in filling out the form.)
- Please fill out this application form in its entirety and email it to our membership chairman.
- Email all digital applications to Lynn at “membership[at]putnamfishandgame.org” (change [at] to @ in your email program) (sorry for the inconvenience of this but if we list the email here as a link we would be inundated with spam email.)
- After the Executive Committee has a chance to review your application, we will contact you to set up a day and time for an in-person interview with one or more Executive Committee members.
- Our Membership Chairman, Lynn Blackmer, will contact you with the dates and times that we will be conducting interviews.
- Your sponsor needs to be present at the interview. At the time of the interview, you will be required to show us your valid pistol permit, so be sure you have it with you. There is a $25.00 application fee that will need to be paid at the time of your interview. (NO CASH ACCEPTED, CHECKS ONLY)
At your interview, we will inform you of what else needs to happen before becoming a member and how long you should expect it to take.
